1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application JNV Kaimur (the “App”), published by Tech Sparrow (“we”, “us”), handles information when you install or use the App. The App is an informal community resource for alumni-style profiles, galleries, and related batch content; it is not an official government or school authority website.
2. Information the App may process
Depending on how you use the App, the following may apply:
- Device & diagnostics. If enabled, we may use Firebase Crashlytics (Google) to receive anonymized crash reports and diagnostics to improve stability. This can include device model, OS version, and stack traces related to crashes.
- Photos & storage. If you use features that save or pick images, the App may access storage or the photo library only as needed for that action and in line with the permissions you grant on your device.
- Links & third-party sites. The App may open external services (for example Facebook, Instagram, or WhatsApp) in the browser or in those apps when you tap profile or share links. Those services have their own privacy policies.
- No account required. The App is designed to work without creating an in-app account. We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers through the App for marketing lists.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App;
- Diagnose crashes and technical issues (when Crashlytics is enabled);
- Honor your device permission choices for media-related features.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
If data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on legitimate interests (app security and stability) and, where required, your consent (for example, permissions you grant on Android or iOS).
6. Retention
Crash and analytics-style data processed by Firebase is retained according to Google’s settings and our project configuration. Locally cached content on your device remains under your control and can often be cleared via system settings or by uninstalling the App.
7. Children
The App is intended for a general audience interested in school community content. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has shared personal data with us in a way that concerns you, please contact us using the details below and we will take reasonable steps to assist.
8. Your choices & rights
You can review and revoke permissions (camera, photos, storage, notifications, etc.) in your device settings. Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing of personal data. To exercise those rights, contact us at the email below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy, unless applicable law requires additional steps.
